Her Campus: What is your favorite part of being a creator? What advice do you have for up-and-coming influencers?
Leo: My favorite part of being a creator is connecting with my community. I’m so honored they follow and support me because it feels like we all know each other IRL! My biggest advice for up-and-coming influencers is to just go for it. I have an internal saying of “day one” or “one day.” I always wanted to pursue social media but delayed it for years — then I finally picked up the camera, and my journey officially began.

Her Campus: What is your favorite part of being a creator? What advice do you have for up-and-coming influencers?
Allie: My favorite part of being a creator is connecting with my audience every day because they always have something new to show me or teach me! My advice for anybody who wants to get into content creation more seriously is to take it less seriously. People don’t want to take advice from someone who’s copying others or following a formula —- they want to hear from someone they can relate to and who has shown that they’re trustworthy and consistent.

Her Campus: What is your favorite part of being a creator? What advice do you have for up-and-coming influencers?
Mo: My absolute favorite part of being a creator is connecting with beautiful people! Through my journey with chronic illness and overcoming both health and mental health conditions, I’ve helped people get diagnosed with rare conditions and have been there for them as the person that I didn’t have while I was going through those issues.
[If you’re starting out as a creator], I advise you to simply be yourself, don’t worry about the likes and the comments, and just have fun with it. It’s also okay to take breaks sometimes!

Her Campus: What is your favorite part of being a creator? What advice do you have for up-and-coming influencers?
Tiana: My community is my favorite part of being a creator! There is truly no one else like them in the world and making content that makes them feel seen, heard, and confident is the fuel that gasses me up even on my hardest days. I would be creative no matter what my career was, but my community makes this far more fulfilling because I see the impact of my creativity.
My biggest advice to up-and-coming creators would be to make a commitment to invest in yourself and your community. While you grow, your goals and desires as a creator will, too. Commit to always make the content you want to make and reinvent your content as you grow! Also commit to creating a space for your community to feel seen, confident, and inspired to chase after what they want!
Bianca Fernandez (She/Her)
@bitesbybianca
Her Campus: What is your favorite part of being a creator? What advice do you have for up-and-coming influencers?
Bianca: My favorite part is meeting other creators, both within and outside my industry. It’s amazing learning from other people, hearing their stories, and getting to work together. Community is everything, and I’m so glad for the friends I’ve made along the way.
For up-and-coming influencers, I definitely recommend reaching out to other people in your field. Build a support network with your peers. Turn it into something larger than just an engagement group; form a community where you can freely ask each other for advice and build meaningful friendships!

Kathleen Ngo is a fashion content creator, K-pop lover, and certified matcha girl born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Entering college, she struggled to find her personal style and felt overwhelmed by those who seemed to already have theirs figured out. But thanks to her K-pop-inspired concert outfit videos, she’s gained steady traction and grown a community that has given her consistent and genuine support, and real-life friendships that she wouldn’t have made otherwise.

Her Campus: What is your favorite part of being a creator? What advice do you have for up-and-coming influencers?
Kathleen: My favorite part about being a creator is building a tight community with my audience and continuing to inspire them to dress up and explore new styles. Something that will always warm my heart is hearing that someone has recreated one of my outfits or wore an outfit inspired by me.
My best advice for up-and-coming influencers is to create content that excites you. If the content you’re creating feels too staged or scripted, allow yourself to play with different types to see what sticks and feels the most natural. Also, always show up for your community. Intentionally take time to engage with followers and make them feel as seen and special as they have made you feel.
