As far as Lena Daniels is concerned, her virtual graduation day is no different than her IRL commencement would have been. For the University of Central Florida senior, that means designing her cap and styling her hair regardless of graduating from home. Using paint pens, Lena wrote “Sunny Days, Unforgettable Knights,” on her cap to represent her undergrad experience in Florida.
When it came to styling her hair, Lena did loose waves that got her grad-ready in minutes. Lena swears by prepping her hair with Aussie’s 3-Minute Miracle Moist and then styles her wanded waves with Aussie’s Mega Hair Spray. This combo will keep her hair looking ‘flaussesome’ and fresh for the full day of programming.
Santiago is a total pro. Except, she’s only ever taken pictures for clients, and never had the chance to get her own photos taken. While thinking of how she wanted to celebrate her commencement, the University of Florida student knew a special cap to wear in DIY grad pictures was at the top of her list.
After decorating her cap by painting an inspirational proverb, “Bloom With Grace,” she got glam using a few of her favorite products from Aussie like 3 Minute Miracle Moist and Total Miracle Heat Protecting Spray. Then she put on her cap and improvised by having a mini photo shoot with her family in her backyard.
Like so many other seniors, Omoayo Bakare was disappointed to see her graduation canceled. She embraced this unprecedented situation and RSVPed for Her Campus’s I’m Still Graduating and then got to work prepping for her virtual commencement! Using homemade stencils, she painted “Nevertheless She Persisted” on her cap, a perfect quote for the Class of 2020.
For her glam grad look, she’s using Aussie’s Hair Insurance Leave-In Conditioner to help with her tangles and then pulls her pair back into a sleek low bun using Aussie's Miracle Curls Mousse. Next, she secures her favorite extensions over the bun for a confident and fun graduation look that will pair perfectly with her DIY grad cap.
Criminology major Simran Ahmed set out to celebrate this important milestone by decorating her cap to represent all that she has achieved. With paper flowers, rhinestones, and gold letters, she added a quote that embodies all of the hurdles she has overcome as an international student at school in Canada — “She Believed She Could So She Did.”
She styled her cap hair using Aussie’s Miracle shampoo and conditioner to start. From there she set her curls with Aussie's Mega Hair Spray to finish her look. With a cap that represents the last four years, a favorite dress, and hair products she can trust, Simran is ready to graduate!
