“No matter what’s going on in my life, taking a
moment to read a card is the perfect way to pause and appreciate the present. I have friends all over the country doing amazing things in their careers, families and life in general- so I’m committing to sending them cards to let them know just how proud of them I am, and to encourage them to keep going!”

“Four years ago I got in the habit of sending cards frequently and it’s a habit that stuck. You can read more about that here. Now I love to send cards so much and it’s become a fun ritual. I know that receiving a card out of the blue always brightens my day. Whether it’s a card of support or encouragement or just to say hey I haven’t seen your face in a while it truly makes a difference in someone’s life.”

“I haven’t seen my sister in over 6 months, and I miss her sooo much! She graduated from college in December, received her vaccine in January, and is working with those in her community dealing with mental health problems. I am insanely proud of the young woman she is becoming and while I wish I could celebrate all these amazing things she is doing, the best I can do right now is tell her how proud of her I am. I hope this card puts a smile on her face like it put on mine writing it!”

Our Sugggested Prompts:
Write your return address in the top left corner of the front of the envelope or on the back of the envelope in the middle of the flap.
• If you’re sending a letter to someone at a specific business or school, the first line should be the company's (or school’s) name. The next line should then say "ATTN:" or "c/o" with the individual's name.
• If your recipient lives in an apartment building, don’t forget to add this on the second address line.
• When adding the city and state, make sure also to add the Zip+4 code. If you need help finding the code, use
this tool here.
• Pro tip: Print neatly in all capital letters.
On the center of the bottom half of the envelope, write the recipient's address.
Leave at least a half-inch of blank space across the bottom of the envelope as the post office bar code goes there.
• Pro tip: this may confuse the post office scanners, so plan a bit of extra time for the card to arrive at its destination.
Add some fun mail art! Just make sure the address is legible and the stamps are visible.
• Postage is based on the weight and size of the card. Most Hallmark cards only require one Forever stamp if being sent domestically.
• Non-standard-size envelopes—square, oversized, or unusual envelopes typically require more postage.
• If you’re still not sure, check out the US Postal Service website for resources on all things postage.
Add a stamp (or stamps).
