The Maxx You Project is T.J.Maxx’s ongoing initiative to support women as they navigate who they are and who they are becoming.
It was created in 2017 and has touched the lives of nearly 50,000 people through interactive experiences. Now in its fifth year, The Maxx You Project is continuing the movement started, helping women everywhere embrace their individuality and the changes that come with it.

Friends are going to always be there for you to provide support and unconditional love - but there’s definitely also certain friends that will show up for you in different ways during the changing chapters of your life.
Between your childhood friends, high school friends, college friends and the first friends you make as a young adult, they’re all there for a different (and very beautiful!) reason. Maybe one friend enters your life to teach you something important, another to help you grow into your next phase, and one that introduces you to a new passion in life. No matter what, all of these friends are equally important and we couldn’t do life - in every stage of our journeys - without them.
Entering new phases in life is so exciting because you have hundreds of opportunities to meet people and make new friends. But, that doesn’t mean you have to stop talking to your BFFs from the other stages in your life to make room for the new friends.
All you need to do is openly communicate and navigate your now long-distance-friendship together in a way that feels right for you. Both of you are definitely going to be busy with forming new friendships - as well as juggling a packed schedule - but as long as you make scheduled time for each other to chat and devoted moments over FaceTime, text or phone calls, your friendship will be just as strong as it was when you were geographically close. And remember: navigating this new type of relationship is for you to work on together while effectively communicating your needs and wants, and what feels best for you.
It’s no secret that between college and entering into your twenties there are a lot of changes that are bound to happen. Whether it’s a breakup, a bad grade in a class, not being happy at a job or needing to move, sometimes things are out of your control. But, that’s why we have friends: so we can support each other and provide an extra amount of love during those difficult times.
Everyone is going to have different needs during the different major life changes, so the best way to show up for a friend is to simply communicate with them, and ask what their needs are, and how you can best be there for them. And maybe they won’t know what they need, which is totally normal. So, sending positive texts, calling to check in, or distracting them with funny videos are always other options to show that you’re ready to support them - no matter what, and no matter how.
You’ll have different types of friendships in every stage of life.
Keeping in touch with friends - despite geographical distances and busy schedules - is totally doable.
Both you and your friends are going to go through a major life change at one point or another and will need to lean on each other.
