This panel will examine the current landscape of access, opportunities and outcomes in higher education through the lens of equity. Through an in-depth exploration of key issues and innovative solutions, our speakers will shed light on the challenges faced by marginalized and underrepresented communities, as well as offer potential strategies to promote equity.
Topics will include:
Access to higher education: Exploring the barriers faced by historically disadvantaged groups, panelists will address the importance of creating inclusive admissions processes, providing sufficient financial aid and offering tailored support services.
Addressing systemic inequities: With a reflection on the systemic issues ingrained within higher education institutions that perpetuate unequal outcomes, panelists will discuss policy changes, structural reforms and other strategies that can challenge and dismantle these systemic inequities.
