Door lock signals to thermostat as staff enters room and motion is detected within 2 minutes
If no previous staff member adjusted the target temperature after the checkout, the temperature is maintained within the unrented band

Thermostat display is set to off and setpoint tolerance range is increased to UNRENTED/UNOCCUPIED mode for energy savings
Room is declared rented / UNoccupied
Door lock signals to the thermostat as guest enters, and motion is detected within 10 minutes
Room is declared rented / occupied
Temperature is maintained around the target rented / occupied temperature band
UNrented/UNoccupied mode
