Jessica Simpson's chicken and tuna blunder made for a great meme in pop culture in the early 2000s. She hasn't been afraid to laugh at herself, posting about the Whole Foods tuna/chicken debacle, debating between pig wings vs chicken wings, or that she might actually be on to something. This presented a great opportunity for Chicken of the Sea to partner with Simpson to have her as their brand ambassador and to create a fun ad for its campaign, "It's the One For Me," where she and her daughter Maxell Drew were able to capitalize on it, making for a nostalgic ad.

So if you aren't up to speed with the latest with Solo Stove – their CEO is leaving the company after dissapointing revenue following their viral campaign with Snoop Dogg. Now while good creative doesn't mean much without a sound strategy & plan that turns those eyeballs into conversions, a great PR follow up to this would be if they push the narrative 'CEO fired after Snoop Dogg campaign' and have him out in the backyard having a grand old time.

This week’s trending digital news, shared by members from our US creative, digital and strategy teams brings updates to the Solo Stove + Snoop Dogg collaboration, a classic campaign with Jessica Simpson, and some daily affirmations from Poshmark that we didn't know we needed.
Camille's Drop:
One of my more recently found hobbies has been becoming a Poshmark seller. But I've received an unexpected benefit – Poshmark’s push notifications in the form of a daily affirmations. Truthfully, reading “you got this” and “the best is yet to come” may seem a bit cliché, but they have reached me in the right moment in time where I honestly needed it the most. I value Poshmark’s effort to digitally connect with their users in this way, going beyond "salesy" marketing to instead authentically reaching its people on a human level.
Poshmark is sending me affirmations that hit my soul on the daily
