It's not my first cultural miss as a new dad, but the first one that I should have caught—especially as a type nerd. Microsoft's first typeface change in the last 17 years and I find out about it through social media? Damn. It shows the importance of surround-sound comms, the importance of channels to disseminate information and how they work together. It's a fascinating niche moment affecting so many people that they could get NYT coverage, but it also translates into great social content for nerds like me.

This week’s trending digital news from our US creative, strategy, and digital team looks at considerations for trends reporting, a museum full of GORE-TEX, and how a standard font change can turn into great social content with surround-sound comms.
Mike's Drop:
Arc'teryx – a brand celebrated for its GORE-TEX jackets – has launched its first official museum in Tokyo, spotlighting its rich heritage and technological evolution in outdoor apparel. The museum features collections of vintage jackets and clothing from the 1990s onwards, spread across three floors. This move commemorates the evolution of Arc'teryx gear to a prominent fashion brand, including in-house sneakers. The brand's expansion into the APAC region is underscored by the Beta cafe's inauguration in Osaka, symbolising a strategic broadening.

We can't be something for everyone. Blog posts may not get you the views that your TikTok will, but in this podcast I listened to from Future Commerce they brought up some additional considerations. More organizations should be having conversations about what signals they want to measure for their B2B brand.
