As release date approaches for the movie were seeing an overwhelming amount of marketing tie-ins including Barbie skates, makeup, video games, insurance, home décor, froyo, candles, pool floats, and even dental care. In-house brand archivists are a rare breed, especially ones like Catherine Acosta, Vans' first historian and archivist. She collaborates with marketers to share overlooked aspects of Vans' heritage beyond skateboarding, informing brand campaigns and deepening storytelling. Acosta's work focuses on uncovering marginalized narratives, challenging traditional sneaker culture, and utilizing Vans' history to support brand concepts of creativity and individuality.
A brand role you've probably never heard of: Brand Archivist.

Twitter has made some interesting moves over the past few quarters, including users being able to upload hours of content. But Apple uploading the first episode of Silo? This experiment might be a great use case for how Twitter can differentiate itself.
Twitter and Apple join forces to make short attention spans a thing of the past.
