Bariatric surgery has the power to transform lives. We all have the same goals
in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients, and while we can affect a
lot of change to the patients we see, we seek to extend that impact through
research and training. This last piece of the puzzle is critical, as it is through the
education of fellows specializing in this type of medicine and surgery that we
can spread these concepts to the wider health care landscape.
