A snapshot of recently awarded mega projects
In late 2024, a partnership led by YPF sanctioned the construction of a new 437 km oil pipeline to facilitate exports from the Vaca Muerta formation in Argentina. Contractors and suppliers from all over the world are being retained for implementing different scopes of the project, which is expected to involve investment of USD 3 billion.

In April 2024, a consortium of three leading Spanish contractors – Acciona, Ferrovial and Sacyr – was awarded the construction and 30-year operation of a new 34.8 km urban toll road concession in the metropolitan area of Peru, involving investment of USD 3.4 billion.
Lima's Peripheral Ring Road (Peru)
In January 2024, TechnipFMC was awarded a major contract by Petrobras for the Mero 3 HISEP Project in Brazil's pre-salt fields. Valued at over USD 1 billion, this project will utilise Petrobras's patented High-Pressure Separation process subsea to capture CO₂-rich gases directly from the well stream on the sea floor, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing production capacity.
