Our ALT and Legal Operations teams have recently supported an energy sector client to set up a ‘legal front door’ to optimise the efficiency of their in-house legal function and identify areas for ALT to support on high volume, document intensive, or repetitive workstreams. Case study
HSF recently acted for a Real Estate Investment Trust client in Asia-Pacific. Our client required due diligence completed for its recent retail transaction, acquiring an interest in landmark buildings in Sydney’s CBD. In order for our client to achieve deal completion, we had to execute the due diligence phase in a compressed timeframe.
To achieve this result for our client, we mobilised a large team across HSF, including ALT and the deal team, to review approximately 1,400 lease and associated documents. Our team identified deal-specific red flags and ensured the client was in compliance with all regulatory requirements for the transaction, in a tight, four-day turnaround.

ALT assisted a client who was looking to repaper a large number of contracts that evolved over the past decade, often many with variations and addendums attached. Rather than conducting a traditional review and collation of versions, we started by brainstorming, as a multi-disciplinary team, on how we could do this differently. We presented a commercial solution to the client by leveraging automation technology and a streamlined process to allow the client to receive a consolidated version of all contracts, providing one source of truth for all our client’s documents and allowing them to be easily updated. The solution was also delivered within a budget that was dramatically less than our competitors could provide.
