What are PFAS?
Per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a class of man-made chemicals used in various industries and in commercial and consumer products. Extremely durable and able to make materials oilproof, waterproof, frictionless and stain resistant, these qualities make them critical to the energy transition, being frequently used in solar panels, wind turbines and processes to create lithium-ion batteries.
