Classic iconography from GUESS USA appears throughout the collection, but fans may notice that these graphics have been reworked to include branding from Alchemist. In the collection’s apparel, fans will notice how Alchemist brings a unique synergy between fashion, art, music, culture and other facets of contemporary culture into this collaboration with GUESS USA. With mutual attention to top-tier apparel, Alchemist and GUESS USA have created a premium collection rooted in workwear.
The second collaboration from the two brands takes a couture-like approach to create a lifestyle offering. Acute attention to craftsmanship comes across throughout the series in thoughtful elements such as a ’90s-inspired tie-dye bandana printed poplin lining in the jackets and painter pants. Other workwear fatigue pieces highlight premium materiality, like heavy canvas fabrics with contrasting corduroy and leather detailing. The Tie Dye Jacket and the Tie Dye Pant in the collection are made using overdye techniques and a potassium treatment that is done by hand. Additional details that define this collaboration include paint splatters created by hand and additional hand-sewn appliques across the various styles.
GUESS USA has teamed up with Miami-based brand Alchemist to create a capsule collection that fuses both of the imprints’ aesthetics while celebrating its shared appreciation for elevated and statement-making staples. Inspired by the classic early ‘90s summer styles and created in Los Angeles from GUESS USA’s archival silhouettes, this collaboration reinterprets laidback looks as premium wardrobe pieces made with an artisanal approach. The Alchemist x GUESS USA collection includes jackets, pants and other pieces made with luxe materials, hand-dyed fabrics and custom hardware.
