Meet the students
"When I finally decided to apply for my PhD programme, Imperial College Business School was on top of my list for its outstanding faculties and research outputs, a great fit between some faculty members’ interests and mine, as well as the strong networks among different departments within the College. I also liked the fact that the programme is five years with the first year focusing on training on empirical methods and theoretical topics, which is quite rare among UK programmes."
Maxine Yu
Strategy & Organisational Behaviour PhD Student
"The learning opportunities are among the best things about the Doctoral programme, especially in terms of the close contact we get to have with faculty. The programme is well structured yet open-ended enough to let you choose your own professional growth path. You can join the many projects carried out by our faculty, pick your own training courses within and outside Imperial, or get endorsed by Imperial and do work within a company for research purposes."
Stefano Benigni
Innovation & Entrepreneurship PhD Student
The faculty and students in these fields undertake research into the innovation and entrepreneurship process, from identifying pockets of original knowledge in the search for ideas, to the diffusion and entrepreneurial exploitation of new products, processes and services.
Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Strategy & Organisational Behaviour
Research in this area explores the link between senior managerial style and firm strategy, and the effect of team selection processes on success, how organisational contexts affect how we construe, and therefore facilitate, morally problematic behaviour and how business organisations learn to grow and adapt to environmental turbulence.
