With the deployment of 5G services, operators across the world are struggling to cater for huge data traffic volumes. Higher frequency bands, including mmWave, require a denser network – up to 20 times as many base stations as 4G. In turn, this requires rapid rollouts, site verification and delivery of new services which is a challenge with legacy error prone manual Single Site Verification (SSV) processes.
Automation plays a crucial role in speeding up data collection and workflow management. With automation, SSV operations can become more proactive and predictive in exploring operational efficiencies that will improve your revenue margins significantly.
Driven by innovation, the Infovista TEMS portfolio provides a competitive edge in deploying new technologies by reducing cost, time-to-market and operational complexity, without impacting existing revenue streams. Automated SSV solution enables anyone to collect correct and complete data during the first site visit. The cloud-native network testing approach provides a holistic view of multiple SSV campaigns across the network ensuring smooth workflow management.

Legacy testing processes simply aren’t fit for purpose when it comes to 5G networks; their complexity, magnified by the environments in which they are being deployed, are making multi-site testing a costly and time intensive overhead. Automating testing routines to identify where testing needs to be done is a gamechanger for operators who are racing to deploy new 5G sites, while continuing to optimize and expand existing network coverage.

Reduce manual processes
Optimal testing
Real-time evaluation
CLOSE
Automated SSV allows anyone to perform single site verification. This massively increases the number of sites that can be rolled-out in parallel. Both reducing the cost and time it takes to roll-out a network.
Key benefits
CLOSE
In the past Single Site Verification was a highly manual task, prone to human errors. Reducing these errors helps address the need to redrive sites. This is the single largest cause for unnecessary delays during network rollout.
CLOSE
In many cases some specific stationary tests can only be performed successfully at certain places around a site. Predicting where these tests should be performed vastly improves the time taken to complete an SSV Workflow. Sometimes hours can be wasted finding the sweet spot needed to complete a test.
CLOSE
Understanding what tests to perform, and what results to expect is difficult to handle. Automated SSV incorporates both Definition of Done, Route Cause Analysis and Edge Analytics to help evaluate the measurements in real-time, so that faults can be detected early and corrected quickly.
In the past Analysis of the results were done as 'post-processing', meaning that missing data or issues found required a re-drive to be performed. Using Automated SSV, the real-time evaluation will ensure that no-one leaves the site until all tests are performed.

Operators can’t afford skilled RF engineers to be driving round the country validating new cell sites; they need them working on core engineering tasks such as RF optimization.
Simplified and guided drive testing lowers the cost of multi-site testing, meaning you can outsource it to drone pilots, even the general public with no RF expertise. With Automated SSV site testing, routines and criteria are defined centrally, identifying where to go to conduct the test, how to get there and then automatically conducting the test routine direct from the cloud.
