Our Pro Bono Initiative formalizes Jackson Lewis’s deep commitment to pro bono legal services. In 2022, more than 440 of our attorneys contributed nearly 7,950 hours of pro bono legal services to the legal community.

At the core of our Pro Bono Initiative is the belief that the firm and our attorneys play a unique role in ensuring equal access to the justice system on behalf of the disadvantaged and charitable organizations that serve the indigent. Not only does pro bono work provide a valuable public service, but it also dispenses invaluable training for our attorneys. In 2022, Jackson Lewis was named a Pro Bono Leader by the American Bar Association (ABA) because of its participation in ABA’s Free Legal Answers, a service that connects pro bono attorneys to user-submitted civil legal questions. Jackson Lewis attorneys answered 124 of these questions in 2022.
