Information & FAQs
Career Activator is an 8-week course comprised of four classes: Business Planning & Prospecting,
Working with Buyers, Working with Sellers, and Purchase & Sale Agreements.
Each course is made of up of 2 classes, a Day 1 and a Day 2. In order to get credit for each course, you must attend BOTH Day 1 and Day 2 of each class.
1 | Can I start class in the middle of a session?
Yes, you can start on whichever class is coming up next. Activator is offered in a cycle, so you can make up the class(es) you missed in the next session.
2 | What if I miss a class?
You can retake any course or take any missed course the next time it is offered. If you need that week’s registration link, email cdc@johnlscott.com.
3 | I couldn’t log on to a webinar. What do I do?
Webinar links are unique for each week which ensures we can track attendance in each class. Try searching your email for THIS week’s webinar. If you have not done so already, you need to register for the webinar.
If you are having sound or image issues, try logging out of the webinar and logging back in. Additionally, restarting your program or computer may also work.
4 | Are there breaks?
Yes. There are short breaks offered throughout the day and a lunch break scheduled from
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm.
5 | Do I have to attend the entire day and the entire 8 weeks?
Yes. In order to receive credit for a clock hour credit for a course, you must attend the full day. In addition, you must attend both Day 1 and Day 2 of a given course. You do not have to take them in consecutive order. For example, if you start on Business Planning Day 2, you can take Business Planning Day 1 the next time it is offered.
For Washington, a total of 56 clock hours are offered for the entire Activator course, divided into four 14-hour classes (Business Planning & Prospecting, Working with Buyers, Working with Sellers, and Purchase & Sale Agreements). You must attend both Day 1 and Day 2 of a given course to receive clock hour credit for that course.
