1) PurposeThe Estimator is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is intended to assist building owners, managers, and stakeholders in estimating potential return on investment (ROI) and financial impacts related to compliance with Building Performance Standards (BPS), including but not limited to energy efficiency upgrades and potential fines for non-compliance.
2) No Legal or Financial AdviceThe Estimator does not constitute legal, financial, or tax advice. Users should consult with qualified professionals before making any decisions based on the Estimator’s outputs.
3) Assumptions and Limitations
The Estimator uses publicly available data, user inputs, and industry-standard assumptions to generate estimates.
Results are estimates only and may not reflect actual outcomes.
Regulatory fines and thresholds (e.g., NYC Local Law 97 fines of \$268 per metric ton CO₂e [1]) are subject to change and may vary by jurisdiction.
