The culture at Assiff Law Office is shaped by the quality of its people. The firm takes great pride in hiring individuals who embody the values of integrity, humanitarianism, and respect. These shared values are the foundation of the firm’s culture and are reflected in every aspect of the company.
Founder Nore Aldein (Norm) Assiff has played an instrumental role in creating this culture by encouraging his employees’ desire to help the community around them. Among other endeavours, he regularly sets up initiatives where staff members may donate to a charity of their choice, and the firm will match or exceed their contribution. As many of his employees already volunteer in the community, they use the opportunity to raise additional funds for the organizations they are already a part of. Assiff reports that staff who find a greater purpose within their community beyond their work are often more compassionate towards clients, which creates a better customer experience for those who come to them for help.

Additionally, Assiff recognizes the importance of creating a sense of community within the workplace. To support this, the firm provides lunch for the entire office twice per week, giving the office the opportunity to connect and build relationships through a meal. Doing so fosters friendship, unity, and inclusion within the team.
Assiff also hosts weekly lawyer meetings to discuss file strategy, developments in the law, and firm culture. He encourages equal participation in the meetings and provides each lawyer with a platform to share updates from their week and to celebrate each other’s successes. He has implemented protocols for each lawyer, ensuring that files are regularly reviewed and clients are kept informed. The firm provides exceptional service to its clients under his leadership and commitment to communication and collaboration.
The firm’s success is partly rooted in Assiff’s belief in helping every client who seeks assistance, no matter how big or small their case may seem. Unlike other firms that turn down cases they deem insignificant, the legal team treats every client’s issue as important. It has even taken on cases where another firm turned away a client because their injuries were considered too minor to pursue a claim.
“We strongly believe that every client deserves access to benefits and a fair settlement, regardless of the severity of their injuries. By prioritizing the needs of every client, we strive to build a reputation as a caring and trustworthy firm, which can lead to more referrals and repeat clients in the future,” explains Assiff. “We’re fearless in challenging insurers who refuse benefits or prematurely cut off clients from the support they need. We're committed to fighting for justice and fairness for our clients.”
Care and compassion are the driving force behind everything the firm does. Its motto, “We Care,” is not just a slogan but a reflection of its commitment to its clients and the community. Through the legal team's actions, they believe they can positively impact the world around them.
