“We’re trying to build inclusive behaviours to mitigate implicit bias in our workforce. That way, we can not only make an impact at a systemic level internally that advances equity and respect, but also help create a more equitable workforce across the Canadian insurance industry”
Rob Marsh,

Bayne Sellar Ertel Carter was founded in 1972 by partner Donald Bayne, who has been recognized as one of Canada’s pre-eminent defence lawyers. Since that time, the firm has dedicated its expertise and services to protecting the rights and freedom of clients charged with all types of criminal offences at the trial and appellate levels.
In addition to acting for individual clients, the firm’s lawyers have been called upon to act for corporations and government agencies, particularly in the area of occupational health and safety. Other areas of practice include white collar crime, professional discipline, sexual offences, extradition, national security, representation at public inquiries and the production, trafficking and importation of drugs.
Over the years, the firm has developed a reputation for providing experienced, dedicated and discreet criminal defence, not only in eastern Ontario but across the country.
