For two decades, Susan Goebel has solidified her expertise and reputation as one of Canada’s leading health and safety professionals. She has been practicing health and safety management in the oil and gas industry, manufacturing and working with municipalities in Alberta. She also specializes in worker’s compensation claims management through mitigating claim costs and bringing workers back to work in a safe and timely manner.
Susan has demonstrated her safety leadership at Exchanger Industries Limited by using her expertise to implement an effective health and safety management system and create buy-in. In her role as safety manager, in 2021, Susan was influential in Exchanger Industries receiving Canada’s Safest Manufacturing Employer Award after accomplishing seven years without a lost-time accident.
Susan attended the University of Alberta where she completed the Occupational Health and Safety Program in 2005 and obtained her Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation in 2007. She is a lifelong student and continues to attend various programs at the University of Calgary.
She believes when everyone, at all levels of an organization, works together toward a common goal, an accident-free workplace can be achieved.
