custody services that provide access, flexibility, and seamless connectivity across the advisor ecosystem
practice management tools and insights designed to help advisors grow, scale, and build more efficient, resilient businesses

Product overview
SEI’s QiM Factor ETFs offer advisors a research-driven approach to equity investing that focuses on the underlying characteristics influencing risk and return. Through a cost- and tax-efficient ETF structure, the suite provides access to factor-based strategies designed to help modernize portfolio construction and support specific investment objectives.
The suite is developed and managed by SEI’s quantitative investment management (QiM) team, a dedicated group of researchers, developers, and portfolio managers with nearly 20 years of quantitative investing experience, 10 years of managing live factor portfolios, and more than $30 billion in equity assets under management as of March 31, 2026. Human-led, technology-enabled, and data-driven, QiM combines quantitative precision, human oversight, and adaptability in an effort to deliver better outcomes for investors. The QiM team is part of SEI Investments Management Corporation, a federally registered investment adviser and wholly owned subsidiary of SEI.
Key features and capabilities
Research-driven factor exposure: focuses on broad, persistent drivers of return that research has shown to be durable across geographies and market cycles
Core factor categories: emphasizes factors such as value, momentum, quality, and low volatility
Active quantitative investment process: SEI’s quantitative investment management (QiM) team researches, develops, and manages SIMC’s quantitative investment portfolios using a disciplined, active investment approach
Human-led, technology-enabled approach: combines quantitative precision, human oversight, and adaptability, with portfolio manager oversight designed to align security selection with strategy objectives
Multifactor refinement: uses primary and secondary indicators rather than broad factor labels alone to create a more sophisticated investment process
ETF implementation: offers QiM Factor ETFs across U.S. large-cap momentum, quality, value, and low-volatility strategies, providing cost- and tax-efficient access to factor-based investing
Integrations
Connects seamlessly with leading custodians, wealth platforms, and technology providers, including Morningstar, Orion, Envestnet, UBS, Tamarac, SmartX, Pershing, Charles Schwab, Nitrogen, Advyzon, Clearwater Analytics, Intelliflo, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, RBC, Northern Trust, Apex, and d1g1t.
Factor investing seeks to systematically capture historically rewarded drivers of investment performance, including value, quality, momentum, and low volatility. SEI’s QiM Factor ETFs apply this approach through a quantitative investment management process that begins with research. The team identifies key market drivers, validates a subset of factors based on their time-tested and universal properties, refines them into reliable indicators, and combines them into complementary composites.
QiM then designs diversified, risk-optimized strategies around characteristics such as value, quality, momentum, low volatility, and income. Technology is used in an effort to enhance models based on the trade-off between risk and return. Portfolio manager oversight is incorporated into the process to help align security selection with each strategy’s objectives and reduce the influence of misleading data signals.
For advisors, the result is a suite of ETF strategies that can serve as practical building blocks within client portfolios, helping target specific factors, add structure to equity allocations, and provide greater flexibility and efficiency in pursuing broader portfolio construction goals.

Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. There is no guarantee that investment objectives will be achieved or that risk can be managed successfully. Diversification may not protect against market risk.
There can be no assurance that performance will be enhanced or risk will be reduced for investment strategies seeking exposure to certain quantitative factors. Exposure to such investment factors may detract from performance in certain market environments, in some cases for extended periods. In such circumstances, an investment strategy may seek to maintain exposure to targeted investment factors rather than adjust to target different factors, which could result in losses.
While the investment strategies are actively managed, their investment processes are expected to rely heavily on quantitative models, and these models may not perform as intended.
