Leadership
Miles Wuller is President and CEO of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers. He joined Ryan Specialty in 2010 as Global Treasurer, leading capital activity and executing Ryan Specialty’s M&A strategy across the specialty space. Over the last decade, Miles has served in a series of executive roles as President, EVP, and COO of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers. With each role came progressive responsibility for the oversight and ongoing strategic build out of the Managing General Underwriter and Program Manager platform. Today, he is responsible for the Underwriting Managers specialty of the firm which includes our 22 MGUs and our National Specialty Programs. Together, these MGUs and programs offer more than 150 lines of business and employ more than 550 industry professionals in 28 offices who wrote $2.4B of gross premium in 2021.

Bill Evans is Co-President of the National Specialty Programs (NSP) practice, a division of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers. NSP is dedicated to developing, underwriting, distributing, and administering class focused products with multiline coverage solutions.
Bill joined Ryan Specialty in September 2020 through the acquisition of All Risks, where he most recently served as Vice President with direct oversight of the real estate and temporary staffing programs. Bill also had responsibility for compliance and governance of NSP in addition to being instrumental in the development of numerous Lloyd’s relationships. He holds the CIC, CRM, and ASLI designations.

Chris joined Ryan Specialty in September 2020 through the acquisition of All Risks, where he most recently served as Vice President with direct oversight of auto dealer services, professional lines, self-storage, and the small commercial programs. He has been instrumental in cultivating new capital relationships in addition to developing numerous new programs. Chris has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience.

Mary Lavoie is the head of risk management and compliance within AXA XL’s North America P&C programs. She joined AXA XL in 2002. Her (re)insurance experience includes property and casualty primary and treaty underwriting, encompassing national accounts, surplus lines, financial products, mass marketing, and professional segments.
In 2017, she earned a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Wilmington University in New Castle, Delaware. Her dissertation was titled “Retention of Property Casualty Insurance Employees”. She is an adjunct professor at Wilmington University and advises doctoral candidates. She is also a member of the Sigma Beta Delta National Honor Society.

Damian has 30 years of industry experience in all lines of underwriting with three national carriers. He has spent most of his career in delegated authority program management and is skilled in portfolio and relationship management for large books of business. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Psychology from Swarthmore College, as well as a CPCU designation.
