Labor and Industry Trends
Not Too Hot and Not Too Cold
The BLS data for August showed a still strong, but somewhat tempering labor market. This is another positive data point for The Federal Reserve as they attempt to cool the economy to bring inflation down. Equity markets liked the numbers as they may allow The Federal Reserve to end the cycle of raising interest rates in the not-too-distant future.
Client focus: healthcare
The healthcare industry led job gains, adding 71,000 jobs in August. This reflects an on-going upward trend over the past year. Taking a closer look at the job trends within this sector, Kforce data platforms indicate continued employment gains among technologists in healthcare.
