Office Occasional at Kforce
A Work Model Defined by Flexibility and Choice
Kforce has always believed the best outcomes stem from putting people first, building strong relationships and being transparent in how
we do business.
These principles still guide us today.
The world of work is changing, and companies that focus on employee experience will emerge as the leaders of tomorrow. "We're building
a culture of flexibility and choice empowered by trust and technology ," says Kforce's President & CEO, Joe Liberatore. "This vision comes directly from our people, who are thriving with this newfound freedom. We have given them the flexibility to design their best lives and they responded with a record-setting year."
As a solutions firm specializing in technology and other staffing services, we are embracing the opportunity to create and shape the future, rather than react to it. Each day, we continue to search for innovative ways to serve our employees, clients and candidates.

Kforce Reimagined
Kforce is at the forefront of transforming where and how work is done. About one month into the pandemic, we launched our ongoing Kforce Reimagined initiative with the belief that change is vital as technology accelerates in support of evolving consumer and employee expectations.
Moving Together Toward Tomorrow , we are reimagining our work environments with an emphasis on creating holistic, human-centric experiences inclusive of various preferences, paces and work styles.
We launched office occasional in the fall of 2021 based on input from our people. From the start of the pandemic, we conducted recurring pulse surveys to learn how employees felt about their ability to manage stress while balancing new life-work dynamics. As time went on, the questions changed to gauge how they felt about remote work, connections with their team and resources needed for success.
While locations and layouts of our spaces vary and will continue to evolve to best meet the needs of a hybrid workforce, Kforce's reimagined offices each share the following key elements:
Defining office occasional
Office occasional is a custom hybrid work model designed to enhance workers' options while prioritizing remote work. Kforce offices are optional, additive and on-demand. Employees who
are comfortable doing so are encouraged to come into their local
office for interactions best done in person, such as training, team building and collaboration. Otherwise, employees will continue
to work from wherever they are most successful—such as their home, a coffee shop or a park.
Driving workplace evolution
Workplace evolution is essential for companies that want to lead
the future. Successfully creating optimal workplace environments requires starting with the right culture. Trust is key. Your employees must trust you to listen to the feedback they provide and follow through on your commitments before they will be comfortable providing honest feedback.
Continuously gathering employee feedback throughout your transformation gives you the opportunity to optimize your
employee experience while you build. Kforce took a phased
approach in opening our offices, allowing us to learn and adjust
in real time. Our president & CEO's direct involvement in kicking
off each opening, along with our cohesive communications
strategy and leadership structure, ensured each employee felt informed and prepared through each stage of our transition.
We are on the front end of the biggest transformation of where and how work is performed that has taken place since the Industrial Age. Where we are now with our office-occasional model is where most work environments will get to over time, just by natural causes. Now, by the time they get there, we are going to be somewhere else."

MODERN DESIGN
Our new headquarters in Midtown Tampa is a model for all our offices nationwide. These state-of-the-art spaces align office layout and design to the unique needs of our remote-first, hybrid teams—prioritizing collaboration and team zones over individual workstations.
Offices are equipped with cutting-edge
technologies to create seamless employee experiences and enable collaboration,
both digitally and in-person. Microsoft Surface
Hubs and enhanced audio/video capabilities
are standard in each office and critical to
keeping our teams connected—whether
people are logging in from the office, their
homes or another remote location.
Office occasional allows us to strategically use space and invest our savings into our people and technology. our new model drastically reduces our real estate footprint—with each office accommodating less than half of the market's employees. We are redirecting
our savings on reduced rent and other office
expenses directly into upgrading our technology, offering employees stipends to offset the costs
of remote work and furthering the growth and development of our people.
Cities are undergoing a fundamental shift as companies move toward hybrid work models. Investment in mixed-use development is increasing, with spaces offering a blend of shopping, dining, entertainment and other amenities. The pandemic has accelerated this shift just as it has digital transformations. Nearby amenities for working collaboratively outside of the office are crucial, and companies must provide spaces that offer more of a day business trip type of experience. “It’s this seamless environment between work and life,” says Liberatore.
Office occasional means our associates are empowered
to determine where they need to work based upon the needs of their day. Kforce entrusts them with the flexibility to make that decision based upon what's best for them."
Doug Rich, Chief TRANSFORMATION OFFICER, Kforce
