Postpones certain effective dates – e.g. two-year delay to CSRD effective dates for companies scheduled to first report for their FY25 or FY26 financial years; one-year delay to CSDDD initial application date.
Aims to reduce reporting burden – e.g. limiting CSRD scope; limiting CSDDD obligations regarding indirect business.
Aim to simplify ESRS – e.g. reducing mandatory datapoints, clarifying provisions, enhancing interoperability.
Released alongside the Omnibus package, they aim to simplify requirements – e.g. introducing a materiality concept, simplifying the ‘Do No Significant Harm’ criteria on pollution, simplifying reporting templates.
