The Avionics Modernization Program gives the "Iron Herc" worldwide airspace access in compliance with international law and provides a modern common glass cockpit configuration for the entire fleet - streamlining training and logistics. T-56 3.5 Engine - Fielded and realizing 20% increase in range; dramatic increase in fuel efficiency; faster time to climb; maximum takeoff torque available in high and hot environments. NP2000 8-blade Propellers - Fielded and realizing significant takeoff performance gains, reduced logistics footprint and dramatic reductions in cockpit noise level and vibration. Operationally-tested, AMC-approved replacement to address safety and sustainment concerns of the legacy 4-blade propellers while extending the life of the airframe and its components. Center Wing Box replacement extends the life of C-130H aircraft on par with fresh off the assembly line aircraft.

Degraded Visibility Landing System

The L3Harris Degraded Visibility Landing System (DVLS) enhances visibility and safety of rotary-and fixed-wing pilots landing in reduced visibility conditions due to weather, obstacles or obscurants such as dust brownouts. DVLS uses navigational and sensor data sources to produce a real-time, augmented-reality displayed on a helmet-mounted, flip-down display for an accurate representation of the surrounding terrain and potential flight obstructions. U.S. Air Force C-5 Fleet Readiness

We’ve provided efficient and reliable aircraft missionization, modernization and MRO solutions to U.S. defense and international partners for more than 70 years. Today, we’re partnered with Strategic Global Aviation (SGA) to provide C-5M fleet readiness solutions for the U.S. Air Force. This partnership offers the Air Force extensive supplemental depot capability for a low-risk, cost-effective, high-quality solution for improved C-5M fleet availability. Our team is ready to alleviate capacity constraints by offering the following services and support for programmed and unscheduled depot level maintenance (PDM/UDLM): - Multiple C-5M maintenance facilities in Waco, Texas and Rome, New York ready to provide PDM/UDLM support - Two environmentally controlled paint facilities capable of painting C-5-sized aircraft - Teamed with C-5M parts manufacturers and providers minimizing risk to supply chain - Experienced production team capable of meeting C-5M PDM requirements
