SOLAR ENERGY
Langan has been providing solar energy expertise to clients across the country for over 10 years. Due to the nature of solar funding programs and their fast-paced schedules, Langan has been challenged with providing high quality deliverables under tight deadlines. To meet these challenges, Langan provides a full array of multi-disciplinary services creating a seamless line of work through all project phases.
BATTERY STORAGE
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are becoming a viable energy storage option in the renewable market and the need for the development of more facilities and related infrastructure of this type continues to grow. Langan’s multidisciplinary services provide solutions to common site issues, including stormwater management, flood resiliency, and noise mitigation.
WIND ENERGY
As coastal states align their clean energy initiatives with Offshore Wind, significant investment in offshore and onshore infrastructure is required to reinvent the generation and transmission portfolio. As the historical transmission grid was designed point to point with large generation sources transmitting power to local load centers, almost entirely outside of the major cities, and compounded by much of this infrastructure being more than 50 years old, the transmission grid requires significant investment and grid resiliency. Langan is poised to utilize their multi-service offerings in the transmission market to be first-movers in helping to advance these projects.
BIOGAS/RNG
Langan plays a key role in the Biogas recovery process by supporting energy firms actively developing RNG facilities. Langan is lending our expertise to the permitting processes that may be required at the local, state, and federal levels and has been providing integrated services to support facility design across the country.
EV CHARGING
Langan continues to be part of creatively repurposing existing retail, residential, mixed-use, entertainment, institutional, and specifically designated parking sites, incorporating new uses and amenities such as electric vehicle (EV) charging station infrastructure. Langan’s electric vehicle charging station client base is growing exponentially, and our reach and resources position the firm to support these development projects from coast to coast.
ENERGY SECTORS
Diverse Power
Langan's integrated mix of engineering and environmental services provide optimal support for renewable energy projects across the country.

Renewable Natural Gas Site
Midwest, US
Biogas recovery systems at farm or livestock operations can be used to produce renewable natural gas (RNG). The manure is gathered and brought to an anaerobic digester to stabilize and optimize methane production. The resulting biogas can be treated and converted into RNG. The RNG can then be used to fuel natural gas vehicles, along with other purposes. In support of these projects, Langan is assisting with the review of potential permits that may be required at the local, state, and federal levels. We then review the anticipated permit timelines to determine the most critical permits to the schedule. Our team also utilizes GIS-based mapping to assist with the permit evaluation process.
