Our ERGs
Langan is committed to championing an equitable and inclusive work environment where employees are encouraged to share their skills and knowledge to make impactful contributions.
We are powered by a diverse workforce with many different experiences and backgrounds. By fostering an inclusive environment where all voices are heard, we provide space for collaboration and allyship among all of our employees. This is supported by our employee resource groups (ERGs). Launched in 2015, Women@Langan is an ERG where all levels of staff can comfortably network, learn from one another, and achieve professional and personal success. Following the industry-wide success of Women@Langan, we launched additional ERGs through grassroots, employee-led efforts.

Our Commitment to Employees
The health and wellbeing of our employees is our top priority. A strong company does not exist without healthy employees, and we work to provide resources that enable happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives — both at work and at home. We partnered with Gallup, a global leader in research and analytics, to develop a strategic approach to integrating wellbeing into the fabric of our culture, including the “Are We Working Well?” initiative. This initiative focuses on five best practices:
Health and Wellbeing
By providing programs focused on physical, mental, and financial health and introducing employees to helpful resources and tools, we encourage our staff to take care of themselves, their loved ones, and each other.
Flexibility
At Langan, we understand that one schedule does not fit all. Our goal is to offer flexibility to support individual work styles while balancing business needs and ensuring we live our culture. As proponents of hybrid workplace models, we encourage employees to find a system that allows them, their colleagues, and their clients to feel supported. We also offer paid floating holidays each year, providing employees with the flexibility to observe and celebrate meaningful days in a way that is beneficial to them.
Our Initiatives
Internally, Langan partnered with InclusionINC, a highly regarded DEI consulting firm, to give us a candid look at our collective strengths and opportunities for improvement. InclusionINC gathered information from employee interviews, conducted a firm-wide survey to collect all perspectives, and hosted focus groups with employees across Langan. The results provided valuable insight and helped us develop our current strategic DEI plan with clear and attainable goals
Langan offers a mentoring program firm-wide, providing employees the opportunity to partner and build strong, rewarding relationships with colleagues. The comprehensive program supports employees at every level, discipline, and location, pairing them with trusted individuals who can offer insight and guidance toward professional growth and success. By matching individuals across disciplines, these mentorships provide participants with a unique perspective and understanding of Langan’s diverse set of service offerings. While mentors and mentees are paired for approximately one year, the relationships established between colleagues often continue to grow long after the official program ends.
Mentorship
We partner with many leading higher education institutions and diversity organizations to help students learn about STEM fields, network with professionals who are similar to them, and explore opportunities in the AEC industry. Through these relationships, Langan has established scholarships geared toward promoting equity and diversity, including the NACME Corporate Scholarship and the NJIT Langan Scholarship for students enrolled in the Albert Dorman Honors College. We believe that the future of the industry starts with us, and we appreciate the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of young leaders and changemakers nationwide.
