FEED BINS
Each feed bin stores a generous supply of healthy feed. Pigs eat about 6 pounds of feed per day.
FANS
The exhaust fans pull air from the curtains or the attic to provide better air circulation.
GENERATOR
Regardless of weather, pigs must be cared for every day. The generator provides extra protection in case the power goes out.
CURTAINS
The wall curtains on our barn roll up and down to provide plenty of fresh air when the weather allows. When the weather is cold, the curtains block the wind.
AIRFLOW
Fresh air inlets bring fresh air into the building, just like in your house.
Our barns provide an environmentally controlled environment. Heaters automatically warm the barn when the weather is cold, and fans automatically cool the space when it’s hot outside. Automated climate controls maintain the optimum, comfortable temperature for the pigs year-round.
FEEDERS
Pigs receive both feed and water from combination wet-dry feeders. This is easier on the pigs, produces less mess, and reduces wear on the slats. Our feeders provide a nutritious blend of grains and minerals to keep our pigs healthy.
SLATS
Slats are the foundation that the pigs stand on. Slatted floors allow waste to drop below the floor, keeping the floors clean for the pigs. The slats have only a 1-inch opening and solid concrete is between each slat.
PENS
The barn is divided into a number of gated pens. We provide 8 square feet of space per pig. The pigs are free to roam in the pen.
MISTERS
Evaporated cooling is used to keep pigs cool, as they do not sweat. A fine mist is distributed to the pig area and fans elaborate the moisture to cool the pigs.
ALLEYWAY
Pigs flow in and out through the alleyway.
LOAD OUT CHUTE
This is where pigs enter and exit.

Pigs sunburn easily, and they can’t sweat. Pig farmers keep their pigs indoors and provide a solid roof above for protection.
