The Badgers set a then-program record with 25 wins during Harris’ junior season, when he earned Big Ten Player of the Year honors. It was the first time since 1950 that a Badger player earned the award. The Badgers won the conference tournament championship before losing to Pittsburgh in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Harris never missed a game during his three-year UW career before being selected No. 5 overall in the 2004 NBA draft.
