Evaluating an employer’s potential to be directly exposed to COVID-19:
Four questions to consider
1. Do we have employees located in or traveling to areas where there have been high rates of documented and diagnosed cases of COVID-19?
2. Does the nature of our business or industry increase the probability of employee exposure to infected individuals? For example, industries or businesses with frontline workers, such as healthcare or retail, have higher levels of employee exposure.
3. Do our employees work in close proximity with vendors or other strategic partners who may have employees with greater potential of contracting the disease?
4. If any of the above are answered in the affirmative, do we have a contingency plan in place to address managing or mitigating subject claims and their potential impacts?
