Program Details
PaceSetter is a year-long commitment with a focus on the sales process. Participants are taught how to sell insurance, not just Liberty Mutual, State Auto and Safeco’s portfolio of products.
The process
Candidacy requirements
- Your producer works full time and is licensed.
- Your producer can devote 100% of their time to pursuing new business.
- Your producer is new(er) to the business, typically less than 3 years in the business and has no or minimal service or management responsibilities.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must be licensed and appointed with Liberty Mutual, State Auto, and Safeco before being confirmed into the PaceSetter Program.

The process
- The process begins with an application and interview for acceptance into the program.
- Upon acceptance into the program, the producer completes pre-work requirements.
- The producer attends a conference that includes insurance and sales training.
- Post conference, a PaceSetter Sales Consultant works closely with the producer to monitor sales activities and further develop sales skills via 1:1 sales consulting calls and group sales meetings.
- The agency provides a sponsor who oversees the producer's sales and prospecting activities in the agency.

- Participate in one-on-one virtual sales consulting meetings
- Participate in virtual group sales meetings
- Update the PaceSetter sales reporting system weekly
- Participate in the Mid Year Recharge (if applicable)

The PaceSetter program believes in teaching participants how to write more profitable, targeted business that can lead to increased production of quality business, new agent retention, contingency payments, and more. The application process
Applying is simple. First the agency sponsor nominates their producer by completing an online form. The PaceSetter nominee is then emailed a link to complete the PaceSetter application.
