The U-2 continues to meet warfighters’ ISR needs by quickly delivering vital and timely information today. An enhanced defensive suite coupled with long-range standoff sensors and on-board processing enables the U-2 to operate in and around contested areas while rapidly enabling 4th and 5th generation platforms to share data across domains.

5TH GEN FIGHTERS
U-2 can send and receive bidirectional data from 5th Gen fighters, such as the F-35 and F-22, via native communications links, MADL and IFDL respectfully.
4TH GEN FIGHTERS
The U-2 is capable of tapping into Link-16 communications, which is the datalink all 4th Gen aircraft use.
GROUND FIRE
The U-2 can connect to missile systems on the ground to provide information support for live ground fire, such as PAC-3.
