In October 2021 we issued our annual carbon survey to over 1,500 business leaders to uncover how organisations are tackling the climate challenge across their existing property and infrastructure portfolios, new developments and business strategies.
The findings in this report highlight the key opportunities regardless of where organisations are on their journey, as well as the challenges that are holding back impactful action.
- Three quarters (85%) of organisations increased their carbon reduction efforts in the last year.
- Over half of organisations (54%) changed, or plan to change, their business model to respond to the climate emergency.
- Nearly half of organisations (49%) externally report their carbon emissions.
- Almost 30% of organisations are unable to attribute a value to their carbon reduction initiatives.
