The switch to virtual learning was met with enthusiasm from the NVTI audience, measurably demonstrated both in terms of positive course feedback and accelerated enrollment in the classes offered. At the beginning of 2020, NVTI was forced to shut down all veteran service provider in-person training and learning resources due to coronavirus concerns. This meant that in a chaotic employment environment, NVTI might have been unable to fulfill the core component of its intended mission—supporting veteran service providers as they help veterans find the resource and employment opportunities they need to succeed after their transition. As the learning and training experts at Management Concepts assessed the challenges, they saw a way for NVTI to both address the needs of veteran service providers and for NVTI to reach more individuals needing their services than ever before.
