Uncovered new treatments and extended our reach
The March of Dimes Ohio Collaborative PRC
discovered an enzyme called AKR1C1,
which could be targeted to delay or prevent preterm birth by controlling progesterone's effects.
The March of Dimes Innovation Fund added
2 new companies to our portfolio
Novocuff, which is developing a device to address preterm premature rupture of membranes, and Seven Starling, a maternal mental health company.
Delivered care and supported our communities
Our Mom & Baby Mobile Health CentersĀ® gained
2 new units in New York, NY and Phoenix, AZ,
bringing on-the-ground maternal healthcare and
providing nearly 5,000 medical visits.
Our NICU Family SupportĀ® program served
over 52,000 families in 70 hospitals.
Raised awareness and supported heart health
spotlighted the high preterm birth rate that earned the US a D+ for the third straight year.
2024 March of Dimes Report Card
Nowhere to Go: Maternity Care Deserts Across the US
2024 report revealed that 35% of US counties are maternity care deserts.
We launched
to educate providers and moms about low dose aspirin to help reduce the risk of preeclampsia and preterm birth.
Thanks to our commitment,
more than 115 bills were advocated for, with 50 signed into law.
Our Advocacy Network increased by
more than 2,700 advocates, with over 14,000 total actions taken.
Elevated our voices and championed change
Through March for Babies, our flagship fundraiser that brought nearly
43,000 participants
together, and year-round Special Events, we raised $45.1 million to improve mom and baby health.
Continued to fight for moms and babies
214,739 views on our It Starts With Mom platform.
We trained more than 18,575
maternal and infant healthcare professionals.

We convened 28 national corporate partners,
MODCAST, our research-based podcast, had
