With their rapid growth, provisioning new hires was time consuming, error-prone and labor intensive. Their existing access control solution was a siloed on-premise application that was not integrated into their identity management system - Okta.
After moving into a new 75,000 square foot space, OfferUp decided it was time to switch to a new access control system. The desired a cloud-based solution, integrated with Okta, to automate the provisioning process, improve security management when employees changed roles, and use the existing access control card readers in the new building.
With one single sign-on, OfferUp can easily provision and deprovision access control to their building through Okta. The IT security team is confident the integrated solution provides the appropriate security access for each current team member and quickly removes access when necessary. Sequr’s cloud-based solution for access control enabled OfferUp to extend their digital identity management to the physical world. Leveraging their existing identity solution for automated provisioning / deprovisioning of employee access the OfferUp security team could easily apply employee access rights.
