I appreciated the MMA presenters sharing relevant life experiences.
I really liked the training style of consistently getting the groups ideas on the topics before sharing what it is.
I especially valued this course because the content was specific and realistic. Sometimes, discussions about DEI are too general with no specific examples which weakens the message.

The primary goal of this webinar is awareness: helping uncover the unconscious biases that you have, then helping to begin to change your automatic responses to those biases.

Harvard Business School professor Amy Edmondson coined the term Psychological Safety which is the belief that one can speak up and speak out without risk of punishment or humiliation. After researching medication errors in hospitals, what Dr. Edmondson found was that teams with the fewest errors weren’t the ones with the most experience or highest standards but instead were the teams that had open environments where they actively talked about mistakes and worked together to find new ways to reduce them.
