Frequently asked questions.
Who provides the GPEL coverage?
This GPEL program is administered by Marsh McLennan Agency Private Client Services (MMA PCS). Your GPEL coverage is provided
by Chubb.
Who do I contact if I have a claim?
To report a new claim or discuss an existing claim, please contact gpel@marshmma.com or call 855-441-6480.
I already have a personal excess liability policy – what is the difference?
Since group rates are typically lower than individual policy rates, this group program may be more cost effective compared to your individual policy and may provide broader coverage. Additionally, it may be helpful to have a risk advisor review your current excess liability policy along with your other policies to help ensure they are aligned. Depending on your limits and your underlying coverages, your current policy may not be sufficient to protect your needs, or you may find gaps in coverage, rendering the policy ineffective. MMA PCS can provide guidance in this area.
Are there limits I am required to have on my other insurance policies?
Personal excess liability policies require that minimum limits of liability coverage be maintained on existing underlying policies, such
as homeowners, auto, and watercraft. If you do not maintain those limits, you may have a gap in coverage, and in some instances,
the excess liability coverage will not apply. A comprehensive review from MMA PCS can help you understand if your existing policies meet these limits. Please review the Program Overview documents for details on required underlying policy limits.
†Annual premium includes $1 million of Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage. Please see the Program Overview for complete details.
*Underlying home and auto with Chubb are required for new and existing participants requesting coverage of $15 million or higher, subject to underwriting review and approval.
