The ambitious goals of value-based care have significantly changed how clinicians and practices care for patients facing cancer. Practices are challenged to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs, and at the same time, report numerous clinical and financial performance metrics. The first piece of value-based care legislation was passed in 2008, and with more than a decade behind us, how have we progressed toward accomplishing these objectives?
