NOTE: The definition of “ethnic minority” varies by country, based on the local understanding of which groups have been historically underrepresented politically or in business. In South Africa, minority refers to black Africans. In the United States, it refers to black or African Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, Asians or Pacific Islanders, Native Americans, anyone of mixed race, or other nonwhite ethnicities. In the United Kingdom, it includes everyone excluding whites or white British. In Singapore, we have only included people of Malay decent.
