Visit our friendly staff members under the community tent and ask all of your MacEng questions from where to find the best coffee to where your first in-person class will be! While you’re there, pick up some cool MacEng swag, including your own McMaster-branded mask by Niko Apparel! PLUS, participate in our photobooth and have an Instagrammable moment with our fireball neon sign, made by our students. Share your photos on Instagram for a chance to win even more great swag!
Explore the natural beauty of our campus and take a hike through Cootes Paradise. Located behind the University grounds, the Royal Botanical Garden’s largest and most diverse sanctuary features a 320-hectare river-mouth marsh, 16 creeks and 25 kilometres of shoreline. Meet at the entrance to Cootes Paradise behind the Athletics complex/at Millers Grove at 8 AM.

Whether you’re at home or on campus, there are so many ways to engage with your Fireball Family for a chance to win!
Gather your colleagues and friends and have your photo taken at our photobooth and with our fireball neon sign made by our students. Not coming to campus? No problem! Choose from several virtual backgrounds and have fun with emojis with our virtual photobooth. First year students are invited to enjoy over 200 events that include both academic and social programming, interactive games and activities, Faculty-based events and opportunities to connect with other incoming and upper-year students along with staff and faculty. Note: If you’re a second-year student, check out the Second-Year Welcome page for all the activities happening just for you and your peers on September 11. These events aren’t listed with the Welcome Week 2021 schedule.

The Engineering Co-op Program provides undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to gain valuable engineering work experiences before they graduate. In 2018/2019, over 2,100 students participated in over 3,200 4-month co-op work terms across the globe.
