Donna Strickland, Eng Phys alumna, visited campus to celebrate the naming of Strickland Way, an honour she now shares with other McMaster Nobel Laureates, Myron Scholes and Bertram Brockhouse. From imparting her wisdom onto our MacEng community to walking the length of Strickland Way, she had "Strick"tly the best day.

He's a builder, thinker, creator and a fitness junkie, and was the guest speaker for the McMaster Innovation Minor Lecture last month. Aly Orady '98, is the CEO and Founder of Tonal, an innovative in-home smart gym that has established relationships with superstar athlete-entrepreneurs like Serena Williams, Lebron James and Stephen Curry!

Niagara Parks Event
David Adames ’92, Chief Executive Officer, Niagara Parks Commission; and MacEng alumnus Marcelo Gruosso ’98, Senior Director, Engineering & Planning, Niagara Parks Commission hosted an event at the Niagara Parks Power Station, which took guests 180 feet beneath the generating floor and out to a platform with spectacular views of the falls.

Engineering Reunion
Our Mac Eng alumni recently celebrated memories while building new ones at their reunion. Over 50 graduates came together on campus on September 17 to celebrate their milestone reunions; 20 of which celebrated 50 years from classes ‘70, ‘71, and ‘72.

MacEng Connect Silicon Valley
Dean Heather Sheardown and team visited Silicon Valley last month to meet MacEng students and alumni bringing their tech-sector careers from dream to reality. The week ended with a MacEng Connect networking event in San Jose, where local alumni had a chance to reunite. With over 300 alumni in California, there is quite the MacEng bubble on the west coast.

Eng Physics and Society alumna, Christa Wilson ’06 made twists and turns (literally) into a career she’s proud of. While working on her degree, Christa was also training and competing in figure skating at the national level.
