NEVADA
experience
The Silver State’s cultural life began before it was even a state. Native peoples established a
rich heritage on the Great Basin some 9,000 years ago. (Here, Pyramid Lake Paiute elder Ralph Burns dances to the Black Thunder Singers near the Virginia Mountains.) In the 2018 Nevada Arts, Culture and Heritage Guide, you’ll find a complete look into the
state’s rich arts and culture scene reflecting the influence of buckaroos, Basques, Burning Man and big cities. Click the link at left to read the complete issue. Or scroll down to experience highlights from the articles.
