A: Seventy-five percent of all breast cancers occur in women who do not have a family history of breast cancer. Therefore, these cancers are potentially preventable by adopting a healthy lifestyle. I cannot ask my patients to make positive lifestyle choices if I am unwilling to adopt them myself. Creating balance between my body, mind and spirit is essential. Being physically, emotionally and spiritually “buff” has become a way of life. My motivation to be the healthiest I can be comes from within, but it is my breast cancer patients that are my constant source of inspiration. I consider myself to be a constant work in progress.
Ainsley’s Angels is meaningful to me because it makes me feel thankful each and every day for all of the abilities I’ve been given in my life, especially mobility. Ainsley’s Angels allows me to use my gifts to make other’s dreams come true.

Little Bellas is meaningful to me because I enjoy mentoring young girls, helping them grow their confidence, and have fun, all while riding bikes.

PreserveFertility.org is so important because it takes away the financial stress of protecting an oncology patient’s fertility so they can focus on fighting cancer in the present and look forward to a healthy future.
