Tool Selector
Use this menu to toggle between different tools:
Array Tools: edit and read the memory array in the device
Status Register: read or change the various staus bits offered with each device
Memory Partition Register: create ranges of various memory protection schemes (only offered with CS parts)
Array Tools
This tool allows you to quickly read, write and generate data for the memory array
Simply click in the memory array and start typing to fill in data manually
Click and drag on top of the memory array to select a range for reading or writing
Generate data to fill the selected range by choosing the pattern of data (Sequential, Random or Fixed) then click "Fill Range")
Event Log
This area shows all events you have performed. Clear the log by clicking the "X" in the top right
Memory Array Viewer
This Memory Array Viewer visualizes the memory panel within the device. It also visualizes changes you have made to the data before writing to the array
When Array Tools is the selected tool, you can make changes to the data freely
The array is displayed in HEX format; individual addresses can be determined by reading the rows and columns
Data is converted to ASCII or ISO-8859-1 to the right of the array and you can toggle between each
The "GOTO" field in the top left allows you to type in and jump to an address
Manufacturer Identification
Easily view manufacturer information split out by field. Manufacturer information allows the host of the system, usually a microcontroller (MCU), to identify the memory device with a software command. This is only offered with certain devices
Device Parameters
View important data sheet specifications about the device in the socket without needing to open the data sheet
Frequency Slider
Quickly change the operating frequency of the device
Serial Number
View the device's serialization from the factory, if offered by the device. Built-in serialization allows tracking of individual products for the purposes of manufacturing, returns and other uses
SPI Mode
For SPI parts only, change SPI mode to Mode 0 or Mode 3
Manufacturer Identification
Easily view manufacturer information split out by field. Manufacturer information allows the host of the system, usually a microcontroller (MCU), to identify the memory device with a software command. This is only offered with certain devices
Voltage Slider
Quickly change the operating voltage of the device
PIN Manager
View the device's pinout; some pins are clickable
Click the Write Protect (WP) pin to change the pin voltage (high or low)
Click the address pin(s) (A0, A1 and/or A2) to change their voltages (high or low) to configure hardware addressing
