TRACEABILITY
SkyWire™ technology leverages signals from GNSS satellites that are simultaneously visible to at least two ground locations.
The BlueSky® GNSS Firewall 2200 with SkyWire™ technology operates by having at least two or more separated clocks simultaneously receive signals from the same GNSS satellite(s); by comparing measurement data from the signals and removing shared satellite errors, SkyWire technology can precisely determine the time difference between the two or more clocks down to nanoseconds.
By utilizing GNSS satellites visible to both locations, the BlueSky® GNSS Firewall 2200 with SkyWire™ technology can determine the time difference between clocks up to 3,000 miles apart with nanosecond precision, without requiring the local clocks to be synchronized to GNSS.
Widely dispersed critical infrastructure - including telecommunications, power utilities, financial markets, and data centers - can leverage the BlueSky® GNSS Firewall 2200 with SkyWire™ technology to continuously monitor nanosecond-level time differences between all essential and geographically dispersed system clock.
Traceability to a National Time Standard is achieved simply by connecting a 1PPS signal and 10 MHz from the national click to a BlueSky® GNSS Firewall 2200 equipped with SkyWire technology, which then compares this reference time with all other SkyWire technology enabled BlueSky GNSS Firewall devices on the network to ensure local time offsets remain compliant.
