Through a three-decade partnership with Lawyers Clearinghouse in Boston, Mintz has represented 340 unhoused and low-income clients in a broad spectrum of complex legal matters and provided counseling and referrals to thousands of others. In a similar, but much newer, collaboration with The Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless in the District of Columbia, Mintz attorneys are helping the same types of clients access housing, shelter, and other critical services.

Since November 2023, Mintz attorneys and staff have provided legal guidance and referrals to hundreds of veterans in Massachusetts and the DC metro area. Mintz helps Boston-based Veterans Legal Services organize and staff clinics at a medical center for veterans and runs virtual clinics for The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program in Washington, DC. Several Mintz attorneys are also dedicated volunteers for organizations that aid veterans.
